Trash Services Information

TRASH IS PICKED UP ON TUESDAYS AND FRIDAYS WEEKLY RECYCLING IS PICKED UP THE LAST TUESDAY OF THE MONTH

HEAVY TRASH IS PICKED THE LAST FRIDAY OF THE MONTH

Regular Rates: August 1, 2007 to August 1, 2008 $16.60

August 1, 2008 to August 1, 2009 $17.28

August 1, 2009 to August 1, 2010 $17.96

Senior Citizens are eligible for discounted trash rates; you must be 65 and register at City Hall to obtain discounted rate.

Trash Deposits: A deposit of $30.00 is required by all renter's.

Trash Bills:Trash bills are mailed out on the 5th of every month they are due by the 20th

Trash is picked up twice a week on Tuesdays and again on Friday. Residential solid waste shall be stored in containers of not more than 35 gallons in nominal capacity. Containers shall be leak proof, waterproof, and fitted with a fly-tight lid.

The containers shall have handles, bails, or other suitable lifting devices or features.

Containers shall be of a type originally manufactured for residential solid waste with tapered sides for easy emptying. They shall be of lightweight and sturdy construction. The weight of any individual container and contents shall not exceed 75 lbs.

If large containers are being used, you must put your trash in trash bags before

placing in these containers. The trash men cannot lift these heavy containers to

empty them. Trash will not be emptied from them. Trashcans and or containers

must be set by curbside for pickup.

Trash containers for regular residential trash pickup shall not be placed for pickup

prior to 6:00 P.M. on the evening prior to scheduled pick up day nor remain at pickup area later than 7:00 A.M. next day and must be returned to the residential

container site. Trash must be set out NO LATER than 6:00 A.M. on scheduled day of pick up.

HEAVY TRASH PICK UP - LAST FRIDAY of the MONTH items such as chairs, mattresses, etc. They can not pick up tires, liquids such as paint, oil, battery acid, batteries, yard waste or brush.

Heavy trash pickup for monthly scheduled heavy trash cannot be placed at pickup area more than 24 hours prior to scheduled heavy trash pickup day.
