The New Haven Police Department provides police protection 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The department is headed by Chief John Sheible, who has served as chief since 1996. Other officers include Assistant Chief of Police Dan Terry, and Officers Ray McDowell, Randy Gardner, Meg Parks ,David Burke. Reserve Officers John Zelch, and Dave Biser.
